Hi my name is Josh and this is my first start at a discussion. I am not sure if this is a discussion as much as it is a dream and vision I have had. One of my favorite passages of Scripture has been the sermon of the mount; Matthew 5-7 has been a passage that I study quite frequently (it brings me hope). My church has been going through the Lord's prayer (we talked about forgiving those who tresspassed against us this week)and interestingly enough that week they also showed a short video clip for Operation Christmas Child. After the video, I started thinking and well I was curious what the holidays were like for the children in Iraq, Palestine, and Afghanistan. Did these children have any gifts this year, how many of them knew the love of Christ, and when was the last time they had a good meal? Jesus' words in Matthew 5 have been ringing loud and clear, love your enemies, pray for them, and bless them. So I was curious if any of you knew of anyone who was going to send these children any gifts this year? If not maybe we could gather together and send them some and possibly go with our gifts, sharing the love of Jesus in a transformational way?

Please let me know if you have any ideas or if you know of anyone already doing this I would love to connect with them.

Blessings, Josh!

Hi Josh,

Just curious as to whether you've found anything related to this idea since this post? I see you've gotten no relpies here, so I didn't want to just read it and move on. Wanted to check in and see where you're at in your journey, if you've found a way to engage in this idea. I see your heart in this post and I think it's beautiful. Smile

Peace,
Jamie
